Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be 35 years old or younger at the time of application.
- A 4-year bachelor’s degree or its equivalent is required. This may include a 3-year bachelor’s degree plus a 1-year master’s degree, or a 2-year bachelor’s degree plus a 2-year master’s degree, subject to review.
- At least 2 years of full-time professional work experience is required after completing the university degree.
- English proficiency test scores must meet the following minimums:
- TOEFL: 550 (paper-based), 213 (computer-based), 79-80 (internet-based)
- Duolingo: 95
- IELTS: 6.5
- Test results must be from within the past two years.
Ineligible Applicants:
- Individuals living or working outside of their home country.
- Those who have previously studied abroad (outside of ADB developing member countries) or are seeking a second master’s degree.
How to Apply:
- Complete and submit the ADB-JSP scholarship application to the East-West Center.
- Submit a separate application, including all required supporting documents, to the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa (UHM) for admission into a Master’s degree program.
- For general Master’s programs, find application details on the UHM Graduate Division website.
- For Business Master’s programs, apply through the Global MBA Business Program and obtain application forms from that specific program.
- Ensure all required documents for both the scholarship and university applications are prepared and submitted on time, including academic transcripts, recommendation letters, proof of English proficiency, and other relevant materials.
- Double-check all applications and documents for accuracy before submission to both the East-West Center and UHM. Adhere to all deadlines and requirements.
