Scholarship Support:

CERN will cover the following expenses:

  • An employment contract that lasts anywhere from 6 months (minimum) to 36 months (maximum).
  • A monthly stipend that ranges from 5,239 to 6,506 Swiss Francs (net of tax).
  • Membership of the CERN Pension Fund and coverage under CERN’s extensive insurance plan (for yourself, your family, and your children).

Application Requirements:

All of the terms and conditions mentioned below are satisfied for the scholarship.

  • You are a resident of a country that is a CERN Member or Associate Member.
  • You hold a university degree (BSc or MSc level) and have up to 4 years of meaningful experience after receiving the degree (within a half year of the date of the board). Please note that expertise acquired previous to the most recently attained degree will not be factored into the total long periods of involvement calculation. Please notice that CERN employees are ineligible to qualify for a Fellowship.

  • A CV (Resume).
  • Recently Qualified Academic Degree.
  • Three Recommendation Letters (no more than a year old at the time of the submission deadline), outlining your education and/or professional accomplishments.
  • If you have these letters on hand, you can import them at the point of request. After you’ve sent the application, you’ll be given a connection to send to the referees so they can upload their letters in a secure manner.
  • Please notice that this must be completed before the deadline.
