This 12-month program employs a hybrid approach, combining virtual training and mentorship sessions with two in-person meetings in Senegal. Participants maintain their roles in their home organizations while dedicating 10-15 hours per month to online fellowship activities. They will attend in-person sessions in September 2024 and Jan/Feb 2025. Fellows engaged in this international fellowship will have access to diverse platforms, events, and projects, facilitating interactions with stakeholders, funders, and policymakers to elevate the visibility and impact of their initiatives. The program fosters an environment conducive to open dialogue, idea exchange, and mutual support among fellows, fostering a culture of learning, adaptability, and collaboration to address community challenges. The Impact West Africa Fellowship, being fully sponsored, does not require any participation fees. The host organization covers air travel expenses for both meeting trips to Senegal, providing fellows with complimentary accommodation and meals during these convenings.
